Kids Say the Darndest Things

Here are some of the recent funny conversations I've had with my kids.

Here's some new ones

****************************

Jackson (age 4): My bugars are bleeding . . . don't worry though, I ate them

***************************

Jace (age 3) : Mom you can play with me because you're beautiful.

**************************

Jackson: Do you want to play house mom? You can be the mom and Jace and I will be the kids, and Daddy can be the Dad and Mackenzie can be the baby.

****************************

Jace : (age 2) And bless daddy on the airplane, that the cyclops won't get him.

Jace : (another prayer) Bless daddy will be safe from the Lamanites.

****************************
****************************
Mindy:Jace, did you pooh on the bed?
Jace(age2): No, Daddy poohed on the bed. (now yelling down the hall) DADDY, NO MORE POOHING ON JACKSON'S BED.

****************************
Mindy:(during FHE) God gave us everything we have, like the house, and our food and clothes.
Jackson (age4): Yeah, and the X-box
Tyson: yep
**************************
Mindy: (during a FHE lesson on baptism) So do you think mom or dad can baptize you?
Jackson: Daddy because he's bigger.
**************************
Jace: (trying to get me to leave the room so he can throw carrots) (in a loud mean voice) GO AWAY MAMA
Mindy: You don't talk like that. You need to talk nicely
Jace: (now in a soft high pitched voice) go away mama
**************************
Jackson (while watching olympic woman's gymnastics): Daddy, can you flip like that?
Ty: Nope
Jackson : Oh, because your not a girl right.
**************************
Tyson: Come outside and see the spiders. There's a male and female black widow
Jackson then heads off to the mailbox.
***************************
Mindy to Jace: You're going to be a good daddy someday.
Jackson: Yeah, and I'll be a good mommy.

****************************
Jackson: And Geoffery's my cousin, right?
Mindy: Yep, and what is Mackenzie?
Jackson: A princess.
****************************
Jackson: (praying after reading his BOM reader) and please bless Abinadi, that he won't be burned by fire, and bless king Noah, that he won't be burned by fire.
****************************

stay tuned for more funny comments I'm sure are yet to come

Here's a typical day at our house. The kids love to play with their baby sister, even if it is with swords. And Jackson is always changing clothes for some reason. Mackenzie loves her swing and always like to see a smiling face as well. Jace is showing his sweet side here :) It's longer than I wanted it to be but i don't know how to shorten it.

The Checklist: Things we've always wanted to do, and have done!!!

SKY DIVING

For my birthday a few birthdays back, Ty surprised me by helping me fulfill a life time dream of going skydiving. We got to jump out of the plane together and there's no better feeling than freefalling for a few minutes. As grandpa would question, "I don't know why anyone would jump out of a perfectly good airplane" but it was still such an awesome adventure!

TRIP TO ITALY

We went to Italy last year for our 5 year anniversary. Ty served his mission there so it was nice to have someone that knew the area and how to speak the language. We saw some people from his mission at church and we were chapparoned around by a guy in Ancona that Ty was friends with.

This is us in Venice, what a beautiful place! There were boats and water instead of cars and streets. Crazy, but really cool. Very romantic city, eating by the water ways and the lights on the water at night.

Here I am at the Colesseum in Rome. We spent a lot of time walking and using the bus system. Everything was just so old that it was absolutely amazing!

MARATHON #1

TOP OF UTAH

Since we've been married we've ran 3 marathons together. Here we are finishing our first marathon hand in hand. It's really a neat experience I've decided to push yourself to the point that you hate running only to love it the second you finish. . . .odd though. 2 out of the 3 marathons I've actually ran pregnant (not far along though) and the one time I wasn't pregnant I had had a baby 3 months earlier. Yeah , definitely need to work on my timing.

GRADUATION FROM USU

Another accomplishment that I don't have any good pictures of to put on here (Ty decided to go skiing instead of walk for graduation) is we both graduated from Utah State University. Ty got his Master's in Computer Science and I finished in 2003 with my Bachelor's in Biochem Engineering.

All about Jackson

Jackson is our energetic 3 year old. He is truly 100% boy. He may look innocent but he can get into everything and anything in the blink of an eye. But he is such a sweetheart too, it's a good combination. He loves playing with Jace, they are best friends, and he is so good to his baby sister.
Jackson is always happy which makes it hard to get mad at him. He's getting very athletic, which is a good way of saying he throws or hits footballs and frisbees over the fence every day :) He's also been into riding his scooter with his "friends" (the older boys who live around us.) Jackson likes to change into his "Incredible" pajamas and is in swim lessons as of late. He's a good singer and likes to go on motorcycle rides with dad.

Our little Jace

JACE!!!
Here is our cutie Jace! He used to have the cutest long hair but Ty cut it one day :( This is him right after he woke up from a nap. I liked to make it really curly with gel too. Ahh, and here he is sporting his infamous scowl.

Jace loves to play with/ torture that cat. He also loves to hold Mackenzie, but gives her better treatment than the cat thankfully. He also loves to follow his brother around and help him get into trouble. Jace is quite the talker and can pretty much say anything he wants to! My favorite sound is him singing or telling a story. Lately his favorite song has been follow the prophet. He'll sing "Follow da propet . . dont go astray" at the top of his lungs over and over. He also likes to dance whenever he hears music or if he is excited about something, like what we're eating.

Jace is very loving and energetic. But he sure can throw a tantrum if he wants, and he is very dillegent in not relenting.

Mackenzie ! ! !

Here are some pictures of our cute baby girl. One is taken from her blessing day. She was such a good baby for the whole ordeal :)
She is such a happy girl, all you have to do to make her smile is make eye contact and start talking. She loves people! She has been such an awesome baby!!!
We especially love her sleeping habits, ever since she was born she started off sleeping 5-6 hours a night. by 4 weeks she'd do 8 hours every single night. We've definitely been spoiled with such a good baby.
